Robert J. Tamasy is Vice President of Communications for Leaders Legacy, Inc. For 10 years he worked as an editor and publisher of suburban, community newspapers near Columbus, Ohio and Houston, Texas, and also worked on a suburban daily newspaper outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
For more than 25 years, Bob has served as the director of publications and vice president of communications for three non-profit organizations, directing prize-winning magazines and newsletters, leading editorial teams, writing and developing content for Internet sites, and assisting in formulating corporate policies, mission statements and marketing strategies.
Bob has spoken on a variety of topics in a number of U.S. cities, as well as in Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, El Salvador, Venezuela, Brazil, Hungary, Germany and The Netherlands.
He has written, co-authored and edited 11 books, including Business At Its Best (River City Press) and The Heart of Mentoring (with Dave Stoddard, NavPress). In addition, he has written more than 100 freelance, non-fiction articles for magazines and other periodicals; most of them have focused on the business and professional world. A weekly e-mail newsletter Bob writes and edits – “Monday Manna” – is read by an estimated one million people in five continents.
Bob is a certified Birkman Method consultant, trained to administer this motivational assessment tool.
A graduate of Ohio State University with bachelor and masters degrees in journalism, for nearly six years he also served as an adjunct professor for Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee, teaching business communications.
Bob and his wife, Sally, live in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Together they have five children and eight grandchildren. He is a skilled photographer, reads extensively, loves music, is a cardiac fitness devotee, and an avid follower of pro and college football (especially the Ohio State Buckeyes), college basketball and other sports.
