David A. Stoddard
David A. Stoddard is founder and President of Leaders Legacy, Inc., an organization devoted to “developing great leaders who develop great leaders.”
His diversified vocational background includes residential construction and remodeling, and managing a health fitness center, before forging a stellar career as an executive in sales, marketing and training with Kendall Health Care. During his nine years with Kendall, he earned numerous honors and awards for high achievement.
Dave served on the executive team for an international non-profit organization for eight years. His responsibilities included the development and implementation of leading edge, interactive video training series and leadership workshops.
Over the years, Dave has had the privilege of being an inspirational speaker trainer for conferences sponsored by Fortune 100 corporations, trade associations and non-profit organizations. His speaking engagements have taken him throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Europe, and South Africa.
Dave has been a talk show guest on many national and local radio and TV affiliates, including NBC Radio, National Public Radio, Clear Channel Radio, Fox TV and PAX-TV.
A veteran of well over 20 years in developing leaders and emerging leaders through mentoring and coaching, he is the author of the book, The Heart of Mentoring: 10 Proven Principles for Developing People to Their Fullest Potential (NavPress). In this book, he challenges the traditional paradigm of corporate mentoring, describing a tried and tested, far more relational and principle-based approach that is mutually beneficial for mentor and mentoring partner.
He is a certified, senior consultant for administering the Birkman Method personal motivational assessment tool, and has been instrumental in the implementation of this tool for a variety of corporate applications.
Dave is a graduate of San Diego State University, where he was awarded a basketball scholarship.
He and his wife of 27 years, Anne, live in Atlanta, Georgia, and have two sons and one daughter.
A lover of sports and the outdoors, Dave has trained for and competed in several triathlons, is an avid mountain biker, and continues to play competitive basketball in local men’s leagues.
